Noisemill does not collect any data. Not about you, not about how you use the app.

What stays on your phone

Your mixes, settings, sleep timer and wake-up time are saved only on your device. They are never sent anywhere. If you delete the app, they are deleted too.

No network

Noisemill does not connect to the internet. All sounds are generated on your phone in real time. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code that tracks you.

Permissions

If you turn on the alarm, iOS asks for permission to set alarms so Noisemill can wake you with your morning sound even when the app is closed.

If you turn on “Drown out disturbing sounds” or the baby monitor, iOS asks for the microphone. It is only used while the sound plays. Sounds are recognized on your iPhone by Apple’s built-in sound recognition. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent anywhere.

If you choose to save breathing exercises in Health, Noisemill writes mindful minutes to Apple Health on your phone. It never reads anything from Health.

You can turn any of these off at any time in Settings.

Shared mixes

When you share a mix, its settings are stored in the link itself, after the #. Browsers never send that part to our website, so we cannot see your mix.

Children

Noisemill is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this ever changes, this page will be updated before the app does.
