Common questions

The sound stops when I lock the screen

Noisemill keeps playing in the background on its own. If it stops, another app may have taken over the audio, for example a video or a call. Press play on the Lock Screen to start it again.

Binaural beats sound like a plain tone

Binaural beats need headphones, because each ear must hear a slightly different tone.

How do I make my own sound?

Tap Your own sound, then Add sound. Pick any sound or part, like birds or wind chimes, and set its level. Save it as a mix to keep it.

The alarm did not ring

The alarm that rings when the app is closed needs iOS 26 and permission for alarms. Check Settings › Noisemill. On earlier iOS versions, leave the sound playing through the night and the wake-up sound will start on time.

Can I use Siri?

Yes. Say “Play Rainy night in Noisemill”, or start a mix from the Home Screen, Lock Screen or Control Centre.

Will it use my data plan?

No. Noisemill never connects to the internet.
